I bought my printer and the only upgrade made was the auto bed leveling sensor, yes I know mistake number one. But in my own defense, based on my research it was supposed to eliminate a lot of leveling issues from various sources. Now having the system in place, I can't imagine ever using it...lesson learned.

Which leads me to this...hindsight being 20/20...I should have ordered the larger bed. Now I want the larger bed but I am not sure where to order it from, Aliexpress, Amazon, 3dprinters online?

Y'all have a source for this upgrade?

Thanks!

Currently there is no way to purchase the Tarantula large print bed separately from a complete kit.  Stefan Haderer recently reported on the Facebook group that Tevo's Leonardo Chris is looking into offering this upgrade separately. He was trying to find a reasonable shipping solution that included tracking.

Hopefully this will soon be a viable bed size upgrade path, but it would not surprise me if it takes a while to become available or never materializes as an option.

Here's the link where I saw it on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TEVO.3dprinter.owners/permalink/1055681571192483/?comment_id=1055707894523184&comment_tracking=%7B%22tn%22%3A%22R0%22%7D

Yeah I was afraid of that. Any other non OEM beds compatible with the Tarrantula?

I wonder if something like this could be made to work?
Would have to poke the holes and prob wouldnt get all 300mm out of it, but should get you some more room to work.

Any build plate that you can drill four 3.2mm holes in a 209mm x 209mm pattern centered on the plate would mount to the stock carriage. That should get you around a 200x280 build area with the other stock parts (with a single extruder -- dual extruders eat into the width a bit so you'd get about 180x280 build area).

I think I'm going to give it a go when my other items arrive.

Next question...I am guessing the carrige needs to be replaced as well and I'm not sure if a non OEM exists unless it's upgraded to a linear version?

Thanks for being here to you all.  I have a question about the stock y-axis rail in relation to the "any build plate" post by bdwalker1. Does it need an upgrade to take advantage of the larger build plate? I have one coming in a few days but where I live it's hard/impossible to get parts so I really only get one chance to order a larger plate if it will work. I need to be able to print at least 230mm on the Y-axis.
